... C and I did catch two fish Sunday morning.
We were in W. Va., fishing along the Blackwater River in Thomas. C pulled one in first. I think it was trout. It was maybe six inches long.
I "landed" a very crappy crappie a short time later. It was maybe five inches long.
Nothing to brag about by real Cattaraugus County angler standards, but we had a good time. The weather was nice and it was good to be out.
While at the "cabin," C did some more planting and I did a little more gravel rearranging. All in all, another nice visit.
E's boyfriend Thomas is coming by again this evening, on a rather round-about trip home from Virginia Tech. He'll leave tomorrow, then be back to help us celebrate her birthday this weekend.
C and I have our fly-fishing class on Saturday.
M has been quite busy with work and (we hope) his studies. Haven't seen a lot of him lately. He has a new girlfriend -- a Sara (not sure if she's with or without the 'h;' need to find out).
For you Amazing Race fans, I think the finals will be good. Even though I wanted the Cuban guys to win, without them there are still three teams we can all either love or hate. And that's about the best situation we could have hoped for.

A few flowers to end the week
Glad the week is over and very glad the weather has been so nice this weekend. We did a lot of work outside, and planted a few things in the front, as you can see.
M is having some buddies over to play poker.
E is driving back from the Va. shore, where she went to visit Thomas and his folks.
We'll likely go to W. Va. next weekend. Our friend Mindy is using the house this weekend. Hope she got out a lot in the sunshine.
Everybody here still thinking about the killings at Va. Tech, of course. Likely will be for some time.

Too much excitement on the court
Thankfully, our neighbor Michael will be OK, we hear.
He was working on his motorcycle behind his house the other evening when something ignited. Michael was burned, though he was able to call for help and walk to the ambulance once it got here.
Rather disturbing to see a house that looks just like ours, basically, get so badly damaged. Glad that things weren't even more tragic.
We don't know what will be done with the house, but you can see in the second photo that for now at least it's been covered.
All else is quiet down here. Happy Easter to all.
