While we hired a guy to clean the deck here in Chantilly, C and I have been tackling the one in W. Va. on our own. We made more progress yesterday and today. Hopefully by the end of our next trip we'll at least have all the floor areas done.
It was blessedly cool on the mountain -- it's certainly not back here at home in Va. Tomorrow's supposed to be brutal.
There was a very good party here at our house last Saturday evening for my Afghan friend T. He's back in NYC now. It's still very up in the air as to what he'll end up doing. I spoke with him yesterday and he's anxious to rejoin his family, though he can't go back home, unfortunately.
