No Sale

I've posted about this on Tumblr and the LVCS Alumni blog.

To complete the circle:

We went to a fair in Lucketts, Va., on Saturday. It's a little town on Rt. 15 just south of the Maryland border. I think C spotted this display case first.

The antique dealer who was using it to show some of her items didn't want to sell it to me, unfortunately. It would have looked nice in our dining room.

Visitors From New England

Wonderful dinner this evening with Mary, George, Ellen and Amelia, who are with us tonight as they head back to Massachusetts after a week's vacation with George's family in North Carolina.

We cooked out. The girls talked about camp, school and nature. Very nice to have them here.

A Few Wedding Photos

We didn't get many good shots, unfortunately. But I've put a few here.

Phillies, Tigers And Oak Ridge Boys

I've Facebooked, Tumbled and Tweeted about this a bit, but wanted to note the day's highlights here as well.

We went to the Phillies-Tigers spring training game in Clearwater, Fla.. C's parents went with us. Fortunately, what started out as a rainy day turned into a partly sunny day. So we had a good time.

The Phillies ended up losing 6-2 (and we didn't stay for the whole game because it was pretty hot), but among the highlights were:

-- Seeing Cliff Lee pitch for two innings.

-- Hearing the Oak Ridge Boys (joined in the photo by Partridge Family cast member/reality TV/radio host Danny Bonaduce) sing the national anthem.

-- Hanging out

Heading South

C and I will be flying to Tampa tomorrow to spend some time with her parents, who are wintering there. We'll come back to Va. on Friday. If the weather cooperates, we'll be seeing a Phillies-Tigers game on Tuesday.
