We're here, after a slightly delayed departure from Dulles because of storms over Maryland. In the end, the plane was only an hour or so late landing. The real delays came getting through Customs and getting into the city. But we made it -- took the "tube" to a stop very close by where we're staying.
After naps, we did a lot of walking this afternoon. Stopped at a little café for lunch. Made our way (after getting lost) over to Buckingham Palace. The photo is C at the Queen Victoria Memorial outside the palace. The photo of me is from the other way around, with the palace in the background. Stopped at another little café for cake. Wandered back to the hotel.
Later I'll go out to talk to excited Potter fans waiting online to get the book. If C has enough energy she may tag along.
