Snow in the mountains

I'll start this blog off with a nice dull entry. That seems fine since there's a fair amount of stuff I can't write about anyway because it's work-related. Anyway, this is mostly a test just to see if this is a good way to stay in touch with friends and family.

C and I took a quick trip to the Cabin. Went up Sat. morning and came back this afternoon. E was in Richmond at a color guard competition overnight. While we were in the mountains, it snowed - about 8 inches of wet, heavy stuff. But on our way home, as is almost always the case, the weather was far different just on the eastern side of the mountains - almost no snow, probably five to 10 degrees warmer.

We did hit a lot of wind on the way home. Saw some trees that had been blown over and in one spot it looked almost as if a tornado might have come through. Wires down, roof damaged, trees down, etc.

Glad it's not strep!

This is a test of the comment capability.

Tom did the Cherry Blossom 10-miler yesterday and came in 4th in his age group.
