Shepherd? Maybe

E got word this week that she's been accepted at Shepherd Univ. If you're keeping score, that's the second school she's heard from. West Virginia Univ. earlier said she can go to Potomac State College, a junior college in Keyser, W.Va., and if she does well there for at least a year all her credits would transfer to WVU.

She's still waiting to hear from Christopher Newport, George Mason and East Carolina.

M and the guys in Shatterbelt were here much of the day. They were laying down some tracks for a demo CD they're going to give to a local radio station. We'll keep you posted on whether it gets on the air. They've got a couple gigs coming up in D.C. at the Grog & Tankard near Georgetown.

C and I made a quick trip to the ''cabin'' in W. Va. Got there around lunch time Saturday. Took a long walk/hike with the dogs in one of the parks. This morning I skied for a couple hours. Then we headed back. It was brutally gold there this morning.

As you can see from the photo, there's canine discrimination being practiced at Blackwater Falls State Park in W. Va.
